El Cielito’s function room was fully packed as the Rotary Club of Sta. Rosa Centro held its 1st regular meeting for the Rotary Year 2015-2016. It was a joint meeting with mother club, the Rotary Club of Sta. Rosa. Guests from the Rotary Club of Cabuyao also came to listen to the speakers from the Rotary Club of Bay, PP Garry Hidalgo and PE Omar Zubia. They talked about the Carbon Neutral Project, what it is and its benefits to the environment as well as to the people and what to do to implement the project.
PP Garry Hidalgo joined the Rotaract Club of Bay Sentral as a charter member in 1996 and RC Bay in 2004. For three consecutive years, he was awarded as the Most Outstanding Rotarian. He is very active in Rotary as he was awarded one hundred percent attendance for 11 years. He became president in 2008-09 and became of one of six grandslam winners that year for the Most Outstanding President of the RY, District Chair for Seamless (4in1) Seminar, District New Generations Chair, Youth Service Committee Member/RYLA Co-chair and Assistant Governor. He is now the Chairman for Climate Change and Environment Protection.
