A Legacy Project of the Rotary Club of Sta. Rosa Centro in Partnership with ET Marine Inc. (Electro Technical Marine Inc.)
One of the flagship Legacy Projects of the Rotary Club of Sta. Rosa Centro is the Basic Electrical Skilled-Based Scholarship Training Program, implemented in partnership with ET Marine Inc. (Electro Technical Marine Inc.). Now on its 5th year in Rotary Year 2026–2027, this continuing initiative reflects the club’s unwavering commitment to empowering individuals through education, technical skills development, and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
The program provides a free skilled-based scholarship to aspiring learners who wish to acquire practical electrical knowledge and hands-on technical skills that can lead to self-employment, gainful employment, or future career advancement. It is designed for male and female scholars aged 16 years and above, with 10 scholars comprising each training batch.
Training sessions are conducted over five consecutive Sundays, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the ET Marine School in Carmona, Cavite. The comprehensive program combines classroom instruction with practical, hands-on training under the guidance of experienced technical instructors, ensuring that every scholar develops both competence and confidence in the field of basic electrical work.
The scholarship is provided completely free of charge, including lunch every training day. The only expense shouldered by the sponsoring Rotary Club is the transportation allowance of its scholars, making the program highly accessible to deserving individuals who aspire to improve their lives through technical education.
Upon successful completion of the course, graduates receive an N3 Level Certificate, a valuable credential that may serve as a stepping stone toward higher technical certification through TESDA. This certification opens opportunities for employment in local industries, technical companies, and even overseas, while also equipping graduates with the skills to start their own livelihood or small electrical service business.
In addition, the program fosters a strong spirit of Rotary service and gratitude. Graduates of the scholarship program are encouraged to give back to the community by volunteering in the Rotary Club of Sta. Rosa Centro’s Brigada Eskwela projects. During these activities, they actively assist in repairing and installing electrical switches, sockets, and other basic electrical fixtures in public schools. Through this meaningful involvement, scholars not only apply their newly acquired skills but also contribute to creating safer and better learning environments for students.
More than a technical training course, this scholarship program embodies Rotary’s commitment to creating lasting impact and opportunities and transforming lives. By investing in practical education, workforce readiness, and community service, the Rotary Club of Sta. Rosa Centro and ET Marine Inc. continue to empower individuals, strengthen families, and build more self-reliant and productive communities.
