This livelihood project was a joint effort of RC Sta Rosa Centro, RC Sta. Rosa and RC Metro San Pedro. Thirty mothers were taught to make perfume as a business.
SIMPLE NUTRIENT ADDITION PROGRAM (SNAP)
Seven Rotary Clubs of D3820 including RC Sta. Rosa Centro joined together to put up this project. The aim of this project is for the patients in Santa Rosa Rehabilitation Center to learn how to plant vegetables through HYDROPONICS. The plants which they planted served as their source of food.
D3820 AREA 1 END POLIO FUN RUN
Area 1 joined the District wide simultaneous End Polio run on October 28, 2017. The goal was to create public awareness of End Polio campaign of Rotary. It was also a fund raising project and the proceeds were donated to the End Polio Fund of the Rotary International.
MANGROVE TREE PLANTING PROJECT FOR A BETTER TOMORROW
RCSRCentro, together with its sister club, RC BMW and daughter club, RC Nuvali joined together in this environmental protection project in San Luis, Batangas. 100 mangrove plants were planted along the mangrove coastal line in the said area. Afterwhich, the clubs enjoyed a hearty lunch boodle fight style hosted by RC BMW.
DISTRICT RYLA
Two delegates from the Rotaract Club of Sta. Rosa Centro participated in the District Rotary Youth Leadership Award. This is an annual youth event by District3820 to develop leadership skills, and build lasting friendship among the participants.
HIV AWARENESS Seminar
This was a joint project with RC Sta. Rosa and RC Sta. Rosa South. It was a seminar workshop on community based screening of HIV.
ROTARY FRIENDSHIP EXCHANGE in AUSTRALIA
RFE is an international exchange program for Rotary members and friends that allow participants to take turns hosting one another in their homes and clubs. PP Mary ann Gonzales of RCSRC, the current RFE chairperson, headed D3820’s delegation to Australia for 10 days this September 2017.
International Literacy Day Celebration
Half day program hosted by Santa Rosa Deped to celebrate International Literacy Day. There were speakers, performers, story-telling and crafts for the 54 3rd grade students.
