Several workshops were held for the purpose of supporting the project for monthly story telling at the refurbished Santarosa Library.
For Centro members (August 3, 2017)
After a regular business meeting, trained Story-tellers and Drama Majors (current Convergys employees) facilitated a workshop for our Rotary Club members. The purpose was to expose the Club members to the training that story tellers and volunteers will undergo as part of our monthly Story-telling events held at the Sta. Rosa Public Library. Exercises to highlight conveying emotion, reducing inhibition and facilitating creativity were among the skills taught.
For Holy Rosary Students ( August 18 & August 25, 2017)
Again, trained Story-tellers and Drama Majors (current Convergys employees) facilitated a workshop for Holy Rosary College students and staff. The purpose was to train these students to become active story-tellers for the Santa Rosa Library and public schools in the Sta. Rosa community. Exercises to highlight conveying emotion, reducing inhibition and facilitating creativity were among the skills taught. Story-telling training was also initiated.
