This initiative, launched in partnership with the Norwegian Training Center in 2013 for the NSA Cadet Program, is supported by Rotary clubs and K–12 schools as sources of potential scholars. It offers a full scholarship covering tuition, board and lodging, and a one-year shipboard apprenticeship with allowance. Graduates are guaranteed overseas employment with their sponsor company and are groomed to become future Captains and Chief Engineers. Upon passing the MARINA board exam, each cadet shall be ready to serve as a Junior Officer.
Centro will disseminate information, screen applicants, and submit the list of examinees at least one week prior to the scheduled examination. The Club will provide a venue for the on-site exam, accommodating 100–200 candidates.
