This activity is in line with the September 28 World Rabies Day.
Rabies is a viral disease that affects the central nervous system of mammals, including humans. It is transmitted through the bite of an infected animal, typically a dog or a wild animal. Once symptoms appear, rabies is almost always fatal. However, the disease can be prevented through vaccination, which is a safe and effective way to protect both humans and animals from the disease. Anti-rabies vaccination is an essential public health measure. And we invited people in Brgy Pulong Sta Cruz to come join us and bring out their pet dogs and cats for vaccine shots. We also gave away pet collars, pet food and vitamins.
