Around 70 percent of the Earth’s surface is covered by water, and the oceans hold about 96.5 percent of all Earth’s water.
Ocean trash is one of the biggest pollution problems that the world face today. This is a very serious issue that affects each one of us; humans, animals, and plants. All the trash thrown out into the seas and rivers, will eventually come back to us. And it wouldn’t be good. Let’s all prevent the worse from happening. Alarmingly according to National Geographic, a report from 2015 identifies our country Philippines at the top of the list on where the trash originates.
We should take more responsibility on taking care of the planet we live in. There are a lot of ways we can do to help in minimizing water pollution. One can start at home by minimizing waste and recycling. Some of the things we can do as a group is spread education and do coastal clean-up.
