Monthly story-telling sessions are held every 2nd Saturday of every month at the Santa Rosa Public Library. The story telling topic for this month of August is “ANCESTRAL HOUSES” and are intended for Social Studies teachers. July, September, November, January sessions are for kids while August, October, December, and February will be for adults. For sessions with kids, trained story-tellers from partner school Holy Rosary and rotarians will read and perform the stories, lead the activities and facilitate crafts. The goal of this monthly program is to promote literacy and the love of reading within the elementary students in the community. An additional goal is to increase public awareness and usage of the library.
